Denise Gallant - Denise worked extensively in broadcast television, starting as one of the first women editors in the country at NBC, LA. She freelanced edited with CBS NY and, as Product Manager for CMX/Chyron, trained editors at CBS NY/LA and NBC NY. Denise has worked as a Product Specialist and Product Manager, designing hardware and software systems for editing and 2D/3D graphics, and training hundreds of of editors and graphic artists all over the world - Tokyo, Rio, Sao Paulo, Kuala Lumpur and at the Barcelona Olympics. With Autodesk Discreet Logic, she trained and co-designed graphics for ABC, NY for the 2000 elections and trained editors in LA at Universal Studio and Hollywood Digital. As a graphic editor at LA's Image West, she was involved in creating complete graphic packages for stations all over the country, national commercials and show openings.
Kevin Monahan - As Sound Effects Designer and Product Manager with E-MU systems, Kevin Monahan worked extensively with Los Angeles-based sound effects specialists in Broadcast and Film. He is a three time honorary Emmy Award Winner for Film Sound Editing for Disney's Aladdin (CBS), Alf "Phontom Pilot" (NBC) and "Back to the Future" (CBS). Kevin also created the first sound library for digital sampling keyboards, and three patents for data compression.

ABC, NY 2000 Elections - Co-directed video graphics and trained editors how to use the Autodesk Discreet Logic Frost 3D graphic system at ABC, NY.
Image West: Video packages and logos for tier one stations nationally and internationally. Included creating graphics for the first Live Aid show.
Santa Rosa Community TV — Produced three children video shorts with Lisa Freedenthal-Lee. The videos were a winner of the 2009 WAVE Awards

FILM
Denise Gallant is presently on the Santa Cruz Film Festival Board of Directors See: KZSC about the Film Festival, interview with Denise Gallant. She is very active in promoting the festival and creating Film School and Art/Technology panels as well as a College Film Showing for the festival. Denise is also on the Santa Cruz Community TV Board of Directors and has produced several shows for the station, including shows with The Santa Cruz Choir and dancer Tandy Beal. Denise teaches video editing and production at Cabrillo College in Aptos.
Special Effects for Doug Trumbull's (Blade Runner) "Brainstorm" with Natalie Wood and Christopher Walken. Created all the brain scan readouts for all of the monitors in the movie. A few of these are seen in this Brainstorm movie clip.
Worked with John Dystra (2001 and Star Wars) on "Lifeforce" — set up and operated video key system for pre-layout of motion effects.

DOCUMENTARIES
Just completed the documentary, "The Catalyst", a historic 40 year old night club in Santa Cruz, produced and directed by Michele Benson. Denise was editor and co-producer. The film is now in the process of being sent to Sundance and other film festivals, including our own Santa Cruz Film Festival.
SPORTS
NBC, LA — Edited many nightly football, baseball and basketball stories with Brian Gumbel and Stu Nathan. This included a mini-documentary produced by Brian Gumbel.

Frisby Documentaries Championships — World Disc Sports — Created web videos on the top frisby world champions and video pieces on local frisby courses with World Disc Sports owner, Tom Schot. Created World Disc Sports You Tube Channel of their championship events.
