Denise Gallant created the company Synopsis Video in the early 1980’s with the primary focus combining video with music. She created a unique video synthesizer with Rob Schafer (CBS, NY Engineer). See her listed in this very early web site.
Denise has been featured in several magazines including a full page in Bam Magazine’s first Video Music issue and Videography.
Video 4, in association with Freedom Media Productions, created opening videos for "Navada's Entertainer of the Year," Greg London's Icons show at Harra's in Reno, his Icons show at The Riviera in Las Vegas, and more recently at the Hilton in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas show includes video backdrops for many of his famous impersonations, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and many others.
In the early 1980’s Denise worked with many new bands in the LA and SF area including Suburban Lawns, Wall of Voodoo, Channel 3, The Humans, Eye Protection, Group 87 (Terry Bozzio, Mark Isham and Patrick O’Hearn) and many more.
Denise was also the first VJ (Video Disc Jocky — creating live video for music) in San Francisco at clubs such as The Stone on Broadway and the first VJ in LA at The Country Club in Reseda and Club Lingerie on Sunset Blvd.
EXAMPLES:
In 1986 Denise won the Billboard Music Video award for “Best Independent Music” for her 16 video-song compilation, “Watercolors” with various well known New Age musicians including Richard Burmer and Steve Roach. Watercolors was one of the first “New Age” videos picked up by Tower Records.

Approximately 10 music videos created for Kim Fowley. Three of the videos were for a group called “The Trees” — with Dean Conover for MCA records. His first album cover features Dean at my video studio with a live monitor picture through the video synth.
Video for Theatre Performance with Denny Doherty — Mama’s and Papa’s “Dream a Little Dream.” A two hour video that accompanies the Denny and the band — video recreations of their most famous songs and history of the group.
Concert DVD production and documentary with 80 year old The Dixie Hummingbirds. “The Dixie Hummingbirds — 80 Years Young” was featured at multiple film festivals throughout the country: The Lone Star Festival in Fort Worth... AFI Dallas, Austin Film Festival, Binational Film Festival in both El Paso and Juarez, Mexico and the Oxford Film festival in Mississippi. The documentary includes video with Paul Simon and interviews with Stevie Wonder and James Taylor. The music video “God’s Radar” was also shown at the 2010 Santa Cruz Film Festival.
Video for Cirque-style performance — created two video documentaries in collaboration with montara creative for the Pets Lifeline event, played at the September 2009 Black Cat Cabaret. Videoed the performance to create this video short for the longest-running travel company in the world, Cox and Kings.
Video for the AES TEC Awards show for the past four years: Kevin and Denise continue to work yearly on the AES TEC Award show. They create all video of the award nominees — similar to an Oscar or Emmy show, all graphics and show titles on screen. One example of these live graphics:
They also post produce this multi-camera show with graphics and master the DVD for distribution to thousands in the music industry. Video Mini Documentaries for the AES TEC Awards show. These documentaries are created with Jeff Scheftel (Biography Channel - producer, director) for special award recipients. Some of these have included: T-Bone Burnett, Ray Benson, Al Kooper, and Ed Greene.

Created audio documentary for radio on Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel and Brian Eno. Was played on seven San Francisco-Monterey Bay area stations including KPFK.
Live Aid — the largest benefit concert in history. Created video graphics and mini-documentaries at Image West — shown live on MTV.
