Denise Gallant work with video art and graphics spans 35-years, during which time she has remained on the cutting edge of the technology. She co-designed and built a unique audio-controlled video synthesizer, designed and engineered by Rob Schafer, and formed the LA-based Synopsis Video. She has worked as a Vee-jay and currently teaches video graphics and production at Cabrillo College.
She was awarded the coveted American Institute Grant (AFI) to produce a children's TV pilot with the video synth effects, and has recently worked with dancer, Tandy Beal, and video-sculpture artist Michael Emery, including work on his 2011 Honorary Burning Man Art piece. In 2009, Denise won two W.A.V.E awards, and was recently nominated for a Rydell Award.
